The Self Portrait Show
The little gallery is committed to exhibiting work that is process driven and communicative of shared human experience. The self-portrait is one of the most intimate types of images an artist can make. Most artists will make at least one in their lifetime, if not specializing in self-portraiture, thus making self-portraiture a shared experience amongst artists. This exhibition presented an eclectic mix of work from both new and experienced artists, representing a wide range of styles, techniques and mediums. The exhibit of New England artists' self portraits includes artists David Liscio and Corey Corcoran of Nahant, Laura Dandeneau of Marblehead, Ian Clyde of Manchester, Angela Zappala of Providence, RI, Rita Lombardi of Brookline, Steve Negron, Jocelyn Almy-Testa and Jeff Testa of Lynn, Joetta Maue of Northampton, and Amy Perrault of Methuen.
